CODY — The Cody Country Chamber of Commerce celebrated its members and special honorees during the 123rd Annual Founders’ Day Banquet at the Cody Auditorium last week.

The event returned to the auditorium after several years in other venues and more than 150 guests attended the fiesta-themed party with a buffet dinner.

“The Chamber would like to extend a sincere thank-you to everyone who participated, especially the City of Cody, Catering by Rosie, Libations, and everyone who made bids or donations to support our  mission” said Jennifer Thoma, executive director of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce, in a release. “We also congratulate the deserving business owners who received annual awards and honors during the  banquet.”

2024 Annual Awards:

Board President Award: David Taylor, Taylor Dental

Rising Star Award: Nathan Kardos, Trailhead Bar + Grill

Volunteer of the Year Award: Karen Lozier, Acker Electric

Scout Award: Ted Blair, Blair Hotels

At the event, the chamber unveiled a new fundraising raffle featuring a squash blossom turquoise necklace designed by artist Effie C. Zuni and provided by Althea's Native American Art & Yellowstone Gift Shop. Additional prizes in the raffle include a $1,500 shopping spree from Haskell’s Furniture and $200 in Cody Bucks. Tickets are available for $20 (or six tickets for $100).

Buy raffle tickets at the chamber office, from a board member, or online using the link on codychamber.org. The drawing will take place this Mother’s Day on May 11.

Chamber board directors and various Chamber members donated items for the Silent Auction. Larry Allshouse won the 50/50 card raffle, drawing a prize of $750. Allshouse donated a portion of the winnings back to the chamber.
