CODY — More than 130 people attended Cody Regional Health’s Falls Prevention Wellness Fair on Thursday at the Cody Senior Center. The free community event was designed to help empower older adults with the knowledge and resources they need to live safer, healthier lives and prevent falls — a leading cause of injury among seniors.
The fair offered health screenings, balance tests, vision checks, wellness resources, interactive demos, and educational sessions on how to make homes safer. Fun prizes and giveaways added to the lively and engaging atmosphere.
“Falls are not a normal part of aging, and with the right tools and education, they can often be prevented,” said Heather Tucker, certified occupational therapy assistant at CRH. “We’re grateful to have the opportunity to connect with our community members, provide support, and promote safer, more independent living.”
The event was part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to community wellness and preventive care. By hosting initiatives like the Falls Prevention Wellness Fair, CRH aims to reduce fall risks, increase public awareness, and offer valuable support for individuals and families.
“Community events like these are crucial because they provide actionable steps people can take today to improve their health and well-being,” added Ashley Trudo, marketing and public relations director at CRH. “We want to thank everyone who attended, participated, and helped make this event a success.”
Cody Regional Health would like to extend special thanks to all the volunteers, health care providers and partners who made the event possible.
