CODY — The home of Bill and Sheila Messick and the Eagles each won $200 grand prizes in the Cody Holiday Light Decorating Contest in the residential and commercial categories at the end of a another season of Cody Trolley Tours Holly Jolly Trolley and Limo Light Tours.
Seventeen families and businesses will receive cash and non-cash awards in January for superior home and business holiday decorations. The awards will be delivered by the Cody Trolley Tours “Prize Patrol” in January.
The Trolley & Limo rider’s favorite is determined by tallying the votes of the Cody Holiday Light Tour riders who voted for their favorite displays from all contest entrants. Votes were counted after the last Holiday Light Tour of the season on Dec. 23
Homes and businesses were entered in the contest by completing a free entry form online. Information about the entries were then shared during the trolley’s 115 Holiday Light Tours that ran nightly from Dec. 6-23. The annual contest is sponsored by Marge Wilder and Wade and Carisa French to reward and encourage beautiful light displays throughout the Cody area.
