Artisans of many stripes from Clark, Powell, Meeteetsee, Burlington and Cody will display their varied wares Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Cody Farmers’ Market Harvest Festival.

The event will be held at the VFW Post 2673 Hall at 808 12th St. in Cody. The festival, including refreshments, will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Features, said Clark resident Shirley Bentley, who serves as market manager, will include some 20 vendors and live music, children's games and Market Money.

Silver Nickel, composed of Clark residents Mike "Woody" Woodruff and Edie Sawtelle, will offer their vocals with banjo and guitar music. Their playing will be followed by Powell performer Rich Cloud with his vocals and guitar plucking. Overall, the musicians provide classic country, Western and pop tunes.

Bentley said that there will be drawings at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for $50 worth of Market Money. Entrants will need to be present. She added that the "bucks" can be used to purchase items on-scene and that they also will be available from her booth to be used as gifts or other uses. Change will be provided in real currency, she added.

Offerings at the happening Saturday, said Bentley, will include craftsmen with numerous articles such as crocheted items, soap and a wide variety of baked goods, art and craft items, freeze-dried products and hummus. There will also be beef, organic-type flour, fruit (apples from Bridger, Montana) and various vegetables, plus ground coffee. As well, Zapata's Restaurant will serve breakfast burritos.
