CODY — The Christmas season is just around the corner, and the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate in true Western style at the annual Cody Cowboy Christmas Stroll & Lighted Parade on Saturday, Nov. 29 in downtown Cody.
The Cody Chamber is officially calling for parade entries for this festive tradition, which draws thousands to Sheridan Avenue each year. Whether you’re representing a business, community group, school, or simply love the holidays, all are encouraged to get creative, light up your floats or vehicles, and join in spreading holiday cheer! The parade entry deadline is Monday, Nov. 24. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this magical night.
This year’s parade theme is “Saddles and Sleighbells,” and entries featuring four-legged friends are especially encouraged. Earlier this year, the chamber successfully obtained an insurance policy covering horses for this year’s parade.
The stroll runs from 4-8 p.m. with the Lighted Parade beginning at 6 p.m. It’s also Small Business Saturday, making it a perfect opportunity to do some local holiday shopping while supporting Cody’s small businesses. Be sure to check out the Christmas Stroll map on the Cody Chamber Facebook page and website to see what all the participating businesses have to offer. This year a record-high 46 downtown businesses are participating. Stroll attendees can enjoy treats, giveaways, shopping specials, and the beautifully lit floats rolling through the heart of Cody.
This beloved event is made possible through the generous support of many sponsors. Organizers made a special thank you to parade sponsor TCT for their ongoing commitment to Cody Country, and to Legends Bookstore, the stroll sponsor.
