Cody chamber slated to host candidate forums on July 13 and 20

CODY — The Cody Country Chamber of Commerce government Affairs Committee (GAC)is hosting two candidate forums this month at the Holiday Inn in Cody.

The forums will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the hotel at 1701 Sheridan  Ave., on two consecutive Mondays: 

• Monday, July 13 — candidate forum for local offices 

• Monday, July 20 — candidate forum for state and federal offices. The events are free and open to the public. 

The forums are designed to help community members become informed voters by hearing directly from candidates about their priorities, qualifications, and vision for the offices they are seeking, according to a. chamber release. All registered candidates, regardless of political party, have been invited to participate.

The chamber will continue to update the list of participants as confirmations are received. 

The list of confirmed participants for the July 20 forum will be announced closer to that event. 

“The Government Affairs Committee is committed to providing a respectful, informative  setting where voters can hear directly from the candidates seeking to serve our  community,” said Jennifer Thoma, executive director of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce. “These forums are intended to encourage civic engagement and help residents make informed decisions at the ballot box.”

The Cody Country Chamber of Commerce does not endorse candidates, parties, or political issues. The candidate forums are educational events presented as a public service by the Chamber's Government Affairs Committee.
