Clark Jubilee set for June 13

Posted

Termed a “red, white and blue celebration” for the annual Clark Community Jubilee, the program is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 with a new and expanded variety of attractions.

Volunteer organizers including Jerry Hill issued an area-wide invitation, saying, “Come join us; we’re going to have a lot of fun and we’re aiming for an awesome day.”

Based at the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center, the festivities, all open to the public, will begin with a 5K run/walk beginning at 7:30 a.m. There will be free doughnuts and coffee in the Rec Center by 8:30 a.m., sponsored by Canyon Realty.

Often billed as one of the smallest and shortest, but most heartfelt marches, the Jubilee parade entrants will line up around 9:30 a.m. at the Clark Fire Station. The procession will begin at 10 a.m. with categories of Best Theme (red, white and blue), Best Youth float, Best Motorized unit and Judges Choice. For more information about the parade, call 307-578-7386.

A returning piece of the action will be offerings by community vendors and garage salers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the center. A new offering will include hot dogs and chili for sale, sponsored by the Clark Fitness/Walk Group. Additional information about sale tables is available from Lizzy Olsen at 541-331-4435.

Another new attraction will involve a contractor/truck show on the enlarged parking lot behind the Rec. Category winners will be announced at 3 p.m. For more information, call Cody Woolard at 406-561-2355.
