With a Yuletide flavor in the air, it’s time for “Mingle at the Jingle.”
That is the annual Clark Christmas Jingle theme for youngsters and adults ringing in for Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m. at the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center. There is no entry fee. Children will have the opportunity to visit the Jingle Store stocked with gifts that have been donated by co-sponsors and others or purchased by the rec center as primary sponsor.
The store will include elves to assist young shoppers as they search for gifts for family and friends, said chairman Shirley Bentley. And parents monitor the shopping, she said, so that youthful bargain hunters don’t overspend their working amounts.
Santa Claus, a good friend of Todd Bentley, will visit to hear what children are seeking for Christmas. Parents can take photos during the visits and professional photographer Janet Kelleher also will be on hand. Shirley Bentley noted that a few vendor spots for the craft show are available. She can be reached in Clark at 307-645-3229.
The event also will offer chili and hot dogs for sale and there will be free refreshments. Besides the Jingle Store and several vendors, there will be booths offering kids games and another showing how to craft.
The rec center is being assisted by co-sponsors Canyon Real Estate, Clarks Fork Trading Company (cq), Ringler Leather and Rock Creek Ranch. All proceeds from the event benefit the rec center.
