Two deadlines — for a pie contest and ordering meals — are on the calendar for the Clark Community Fall Supper set as a fundraiser for the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center and the Clark Volunteer Fire Department.
The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Rec from 4 to 6 p.m. Pie entries must be taken to the center by 2:30 p.m. that day for judging, which will be based on best appearance and best tasting. There is a $5 entry fee and there are cash prizes for first-place and runner-up winners.
Meals on the 17th, which can be eaten on site or delivered for those unable to attend, must be ordered by Saturday, Oct. 3. There will be chicken and rib dinners with baked potato, beans, a beverage and dessert, as well as child and small plate dinners. There is a range of prices.
To RSVP, the following telephone numbers are listed: 307-899-5623, 847-772-7036, 307-256-0882. All proceeds will be used to benefit the Rec and CVFD, organizers said. Event sponsors are Edelweiss Riverhouse, Gallagher Ranch, Cody Woolard and Rock Creek Ranch.
