A free fireworks show for the Clark community is scheduled for Friday, July 4 after dark, according to various sources.
The event, organized by resident Debbi Crews, is to be held on the Flying N Ranch at 105 Road 1AB across from Beartooth Cabins. Some residents with livestock objected to having the display ignited on the rodeo arena behind the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center.
Thanks to Clark Fire Chief Nate Hoffert the dissension about the relocation seems to be diffused. On Facebook he stated, “In an effort to end the hard feelings and division in our awesome community, all involved in the organization of the fireworks have decided to move the fireworks show to the Flying N Ranch. Parking will be set up at 105 Road 1AB right across from Beartooth Cabins.”
He added, “I’m going to move my cows and we’ll set them (the fireworks) off in our cow pasture. The entrance will be clearly marked and there should be plenty of room. They should be easily visible from the Edelweiss Riverhouse parking lot as well. Feel free to park along my driveway at 69 Road 1AB as well.”
“Please get the word out of the change,” said the chief, “and come join the fire department, fireworks organizers and our great community of Clark as we celebrate our independence.”
