A free bounce house and coloring books and crayons for youth will be among attractions for the Clark Community Fall Supper that has a deadline of Saturday, Oct. 3 to order chicken or rib dinners.
To RSVP by the deadline, Clarkites and all comers can phone 307-899-5623, 847-772-7036, 307-256-0882. The community fundraiser will be held at the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 4-6 p.m. Meals can be eaten at the Rec or taken to go. Meal deliveries can be available for those unable to attend in person.
As part of the event, there will be a pie contest. Entries must be taken to the center by 2:30 p.m. Oct. 17 for judging based on best appearance and best tasting. There is a $5 entry fee with cash prizes for first-place and runner-up winners. Depending on the crop, it is hoped that pumpkins from Gallagher Ranch will be available so that kids will be able to use markers to draw faces.
Event proceeds will be used to benefit the Rec and Clark Volunteer Fire Department, organizers said. Sponsors are Edelweiss Riverhouse, Gallagher Ranch, Cody Woolard and Rock Creek Ranch.
