Charles (Chuck) Rand, 71, of Powell, Wyoming passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, after a diagnosis of cancer.
Chuck Rand was often a man of few words, yet his mellow demeanor and ever-present warmth were recognized by all who encountered him. Chuck was born in Glendale, California in 1952 to Clarence and Bernice Rand. In 1984 he married the love of his life, and from that point on he dedicated himself to the family that they would create. Chuck enjoyed photography, working with horses, playing with his grandchildren and devouring ice cream.
For 19 years, Charles worked as a custodian at Westside Elementary. He was extremely proud of his work and the community of educators, staff and students who made him feel like family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife Susan, his sons Michael and Jason, his daughter Megan, his daughters-in-law Kacey and Cassie, and his four grandchildren: Alexis, Addison, Laken and Autumn.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Westside Elementary.
