Powell students awarded for good sportsmanship

From March to December a total of 12 Powell High School students received the good sportsmanship award from the Wyoming High School Activities Association for their excellent sportsmanship while in the competitive field.

WHSAA Commissioner Ron Laird and assistant commissioner Trevor Wilson sent a letter for each student to Powell High School Principal Tim Wormald. Students are chosen for their “exemplary conduct and good sportsmanship.” 

The students recognized are:

Garrett Morris for Powell vs. Cody soccer match on May 21, 2022;

Trey Stenerson for Torrington vs. Powell football game on Aug. 26, 2022;

Kik Hayano for multi school swim meet on Aug. 27, 2022;

Evan Whitlock for Lander vs. Powell football game on Sept. 9, 2022;

Anna Bartholomew for Worland vs. Powell volleyball match on Sept. 17, 2022 and volleyball match on Sept. 24, 2022;

Gretel Opps for Lovell vs. Powell volleyball match on Sept. 29, 2022;

Jhett Schwahn for Star Valley vs. Powell football game on Sept., 30, 2022;

Gracie Trotter for Powell vs. Red Lodge volleyball match on Oct. 4, 2022;

Seston Shoopman for Jackson vs. Powell football game on Oct. 14, 2022;

Mikayla Graham for Thermopolis vs. Powell volleyball match on Oct. 14, 2022;

Austin Graft for Cody vs. Powell football game on Oct. 21, 2022;

Waycee Harvey for Lovell vs. Powell volleyball match on Oct. 18, 2022
