Five members of the Northwest College men’s soccer program will be taking their talents to the next level, signing letters of intent with four-year schools to continue their careers on the pitch.

Lady Panthers open season 1-1

Despite chilly temps, the Powell High School girls’ soccer team opened the 2018 season fired up, winning its opener in a 1-0 shutout against Pinedale on Friday. The Lady Panthers fell to Star Valley on Saturday, 4-0.

Panthers come up short at home

Powell High School boys’ soccer coach Jeff Dent knew going into the weekend’s season-opening games against Pinedale and Star Valley that his young team would have its hands full.

Quartet of Lady Trappers honored

Four members of the Northwest College Lady Trapper basketball team earned post-season honors: sophomores Kira Marlow, Dallas Petties, Julynne da Silva Sa and Dani McManamen.

Going into the state tournament earlier this month, the Park County girls’ hockey team knew they had a target on their backs.

After seven months of helping to fire up the Panther faithful, the Powell High School cheer team wrapped up its season at the 3A State Spirit Competition last week.

The Powell High School Lady Panther soccer team will kick off the season at home on Friday against Pinedale, then take on Star Valley on Saturday.

The Powell High School Lady Panthers basketball team finished third at the 3A State Basketball Championships in Casper over the weekend, with hard fought wins over Worland and Star Valley. Powell’s single loss of the tournament was to Douglas, who went on to win the state championship title.

The Northwest College women’s basketball team advanced to the semi-final game of the Region IX Tournament before coming up short.

Powell girls take third at state

After a tough loss against Douglas in the 3A State Tournament semi-finals on Friday, the Powell High School girls’ basketball team rebounded nicely on Saturday, knocking off Star Valley 40-34 to take third place in Casper.
