Why is the word ‘sq—’ a national priority?

Posted

Dear Editor:

Regarding the article in the Tuesday, March 1 edition of the Tribune “Feds prepare to rename four local sites containing the word ‘sq—’”.  And so it begins. “Our” government is attending to the burning issues of our time.

Amazing that the word “sq—” has been around for generations without issue, but is offensive to a tiny minority of overly sensitive individuals in this country.  Why now?? What’s next?? Black Hills, White Mountains, White Sands, etc., obviously racial overtones.

How has “our” government devolved to the point that this kind of thing is a national priority while crime runs rampant, supply chain is interrupted, energy industries are being decimated, our border is an absolute mess, among a host of other Biden-inflicted wounds? The government is obviously in need of a website to download “Hurt Feelings Reports” so that even more grave concerns may be addressed in a timely fashion.
