UW women’s basketball Border War on FS1 in February

For the first time in over 10 years, the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will be playing a regular season contest on a national broadcast station. The Mountain West announced its women’s basketball national broadcast lineup Wednesday.

Wyoming’s regular season finale Feb. 25 against Colorado State in Laramie will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. This marks the first time the Cowgirls have played on national television during the regular season since January of 2012, where UW also played against CSU. That contest, in Fort Collins, was broadcast on CBS Sports.

UW will also have two games broadcast on ATT SportsNetwork in 2022-23. The Cowgirls’ home-opener Nov. 15 against Gonzaga, as well as the Dec. 5 contest against New Mexico Highlands will be featured on ATTSN.

The Cowgirls played in a pair of national broadcasts during their Mountain West Tournament title run in 2021. The MW Championship game was on CBS Sports, while UW’s NCAA First Round matchup against UCLA was on ESPN. Wyoming, which was picked to finish fourth in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll, opens the season with two exhibitions at home against Colorado Christian (Oct. 28) and Sioux Falls (Nov. 5). The regular season tips Nov. 11 at North Dakota.
