The University of Wyoming Extension office is offering pressure and boiling water canning classes June 3-5 in Big Horn County. Food preservation expert Vicki Hayman will lead the classes through hands-on instruction. Learn the latest USDA-approved methods and recipe sources for safely canning this year’s produce. The classes have a $15 supply fee.
Canning Class Schedule
June 3 — Pressure Canning from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Lovell High School Life Skills Room, 502 Hampshire Ave.
June 4 — Pressure Canning from 9 a.m.-noon at Greybull High School Life Skills Room, 600 N. 6th St.
Pressure Canning from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Burlington Fire Hall, 109 Main St.
June 5 — Pressure Canning from 9 a.m.-noon at Worland Extension Office, 1200 Culbertson Ave., Suite G
Boiling Water (water bath) Canning 12:30-3 p.m. at Worland Extension Office, 1200 Culbertson Ave., Suite G
