Residents of Powell and surrounding areas are invited to an open house at the old library building. Come say farewell to the building and enjoy a guided tour behind the scenes. Library staff will discuss the building’s history, point out issues and be available for questions.
As the county moves forward to build a new library in place of the old one, this is your last chance to view the building, take pictures, etc. before the necessary demolition and site preparation. The open house will take place on Thursday, June 13, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Attendees are advised that the building is not very clean and some necessary testing and other preparations have already begun.
