Dear editor:
We read the article about mandatory microchips in the March 7 Powell Tribune with great interest and frustration. We would put nothing past our present federal government. They and the media have lied to us for so long it is hard to believe anything that comes out of their mouths.
We believe Rep. Dan Laursen is correct in wanting to stop the problem before it begins. If we wait until the government begins this new intrusion we will have a terrible time stopping it. We have been finding that out the hard way for over two years.
Who’s to say we haven’t already been “chipped” with the mandated vaccines? Our government, liars that they are, will then tell us when we are least expecting it. Probably while some other manmade catastrophe comes along and we are distracted, once again. We liken the mandated microchip to the Star of David that Jews had to wear during World War II. Even if it can’t be seen it will still be a way to control those of us who do not comply. Since our present government prefers mandates and executive orders to listening to the people they supposedly care about this would be one more nail in the coffin of conservatives and the rest of the world eventually. If the World Health Organization is given the power they want, those microchips could appear sooner than you think.
The clock is ticking. We must start thinking about the future and the dire possibilities that are out there. George Orwell’s 1984 is just around the next corner.
