Dear Editor:
I have had the good fortune to be an election official in Natrona, Campbell and Park counties over the past 40 years. Never have I witnessed any problems with the election process in any of those counties. On the contrary, the sworn election personnel go above and beyond to ensure the procedures for voting and counting ballots as set forth by Wyoming law is above reproach.
To think there will be “uncertified and unaccountable” persons at the polling place handling these secret ballots is a nightmare I do not want to contemplate. The more the ballots are handled increases the chances for error many times over.
I plan to work at the polls again this year and I will do everything in my power to see these secret ballots are only counted by the proper machines and no unaccountable persons will have a hand in this sacred democratic process.
