An informational meeting for a new Powell High School/Middle School clay target shooting team is 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30 at the Heart Mountain Rod and Gun Club clubhouse.
Larry Akin has been leading a coalition of clay target enthusiasts to start a club and is in the student athlete recruitment stage. The school has even given the club permission to use the school’s name, logo and team colors.
At the open house/informational meeting club leaders will explain to the interested student athletes and their parents the details of the team.
