Cowboys and cowgirls from around the world converged on Cody over the Fourth of July weekend to take part in the Cody Stampede, taking home more than $300,000 in prizes from July 1-4.

Coleman Proctor of Pryor, Oklahoma, took home the all-around crown for his efforts in both the team roping and steer roping.

Proctor and teammate Logan Medlin from Tatum, New Mexico, won the overall team roping with a time of 4.3 seconds, each earning $5,743 for their efforts.

One local Wyoming cowboy left his mark on the Stampede when Cole Reiner from Kaycee walked away with the bareback riding title.

Reiner finished with a score of 88.5, one-half a point ahead of the competition in Tilden Hooper from Carthage, Texas.

That first-place finish earned him $8,460, and he currently sits No. 2 in the world rankings for bareback.

A tie in the steer wrestling led to a split in the earnings, as Kyle Irwin of Robertsdale, Alabama, and Tyler Pearson of Atoka, Oklahoma, both finished in a time of 3.4 seconds to each earn $6,376.

Another tie occurred in the saddle bronc riding, earning each cowboy $7,324.

Spencer Wright from Milford, Utah, and Zeke Thurston from Big Valley in Alberta, Canada, both rode to a score of 87.5 points

Taylor Hanchey from Carmine, Texas, won the breakaway roping in 2.3 seconds to walk away with $4,286.

In the tie-down roping, Riley Pruitt from Gering, Nebraska, finished with a time of 7.7 seconds to take home $8,178.

Leslie Smalygo took home the title in the barrel racing, as the cowgirl from Skiatook, Oklahoma, finished with a time of 17.04 to take home $10,148.

Scott Snedecor won the average in the steer roping, finishing with an overall time of 36.4 seconds, earning $2,144.
