Powell Valley Healthcare is celebrating Patient Experience Week with a community open house.
In recognition of Patient Experience Week, which takes place April 24-28, Powell Valley Healthcare staff is inviting the community to join them for an open house on Wednesday, April 26 from 4-6 p.m. in the hospital café.
“We are excited for this opportunity as a health care organization to celebrate our patients and their continued trust in Powell Valley Healthcare for their health care needs,” said Payton Gambill, QI/Risk Management specialist. “We will be serving refreshments for community members to enjoy and look forward to meeting everyone who can come. Our new certified nurse midwife and women’s health provider, Miriam Hughes, will also be at this event, and we’re excited for people to meet her — she’s great.”
Patient Experience Week is brought to the health care community by The Beryl Institute, the global community of practice dedicated to improving the patient experience through collaboration and shared knowledge.
Inspired by members of the institute community, Patient Experience Week provides a focused time for organizations to celebrate accomplishments, reenergize efforts and honor the people who impact patient experience every day.
From nurses and physicians, to support staff and executive professionals, to patients, residents, families and communities served, the institute hopes to bring together health care organizations across the globe to observe Patient Experience Week.
