A garden center in Cody selling plants and retail items has a new, larger location.

Pollen Landscapes moved to 601 Stone St. this year and is now open year round offering house plants, trees, seasonal plants, gardening and landscaping supplies, services and more. 

The business has been in the Big Horn Basin for seven years offering landscaping, design, installation and maintenance services. They have been offering retail services for three years. 

“I love retail and I love plants so I guess it’s just kind of a win-win and I did see a need in Cody and the Big Horn Basin,” owner Kendra Morris said. 

Morris has lived in the Cody area for 23 years. She holds a horticulture degree from the University of Nebraska. She is also a certified plant professional through the Montana Nursery Landscape Association. Morris has also completed Master Gardener training through the Park County Extension and two of her employees will also receive this training. 

“We’re committed to quality service and helping people with what their individual landscape and home needs are,” Morris said.

Morris said that the store has a full stock of house plants and greens  as well as mulch and potting soil for gardeners and plant enthusiasts who want to do their own arrangements.

She guessed the most popular item bought at the store is most likely seasonal plants, although house plants are always popular.  

This year Pollen Landscapes will be holding its first Christmas Open House on Nov. 27. The event will feature a sleigh for family photos, seasonal discounts and food. Christmas items in stock will include poinsettias, greens, Christmas trees, wreaths and other decorative items.
