The Powell High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams ventured southeast to Lyman and Mountain View over the weekend for their final road trips of the 2020-21 season.
Both teams split their contests. The boys’ team fell to Lyman on Friday, 61-50, but bounced back with a 55-53 overtime win against Mountain View. Meanwhile the girls’ team defeated a Lyman squad that entered the weekend 11-3 — winning 66-58 — before falling to Mountain View on Saturday, 37-26.
After the weekend, the Panther boys are 13-3 overall, while the girls are 5-11. More detailed stories about the teams’ games will follow in Thursday’s edition.
