The Powell Golf Club team won the Big Horn Basin Interclub tournament, which culminated this week. The event was a three-round tournament, with rounds played in Worland on July 12, Cody on Aug. 2 and Powell on Aug. 23.
The tournament was played in a stableford best ball format. In the final round, six of the top seven finishers hailed from Powell Golf Club.
The pairing of Kami Scott/Cameron Frates earned 45 stableford points in the third round, which in turn earned them $160. Charlie Cooley and Shawn Warner logged 44 points and took home $120. And Kury Reynolds and Nathan Spitzer notched 43 points for a purse of $90.
In total, PGC tallied 989 points, with Cody’s Olive Glenn Golf Club in second place at 946.
