Powell Golf Club hosted a “tombstone-style” tournament on Saturday. This game consists of players beginning the round with an allotment of strokes, based on one’s handicap, and playing until they run out of strokes.
Mike Bohlman and Clark Jeffs tied for first place in the men’s division, running out of strokes in the hole on 18. Eric Berg’s round ended off the green on hole 18, making him third place. Thomas Scott and Steve Swan, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, ran out of strokes on the 18th fairway.
In the ladies’ and senior men’s category, Bob Mason finished first, with his round ending on the 18th fairway. The second-place finisher, Teresa Eicher, also ran out of strokes on the fairway of 18. In third place, Kami Scott’s round ended in the hole on 17. And Marc Saylor and David Frost finished at the 17th green in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
