Park County Commission Chair Dossie Overfield will handle the gavel for another year.
At the first meeting of the year, commissioners unanimously voted to keep Overfield as the chair as she begins her second term.
“I thought Dossie did an outstanding job,” Commissioner Scott Mangold said. “I think she represented Park County terrifically this past year.”
Mangold, last year’s vice chair, then nominated Lloyd Thiel to succeed him in the post, which was again unanimously approved.
“I have no desire to be chair, but I understand everyone should take a turn,” Thiel said. “I think Scott did just fine.”
Commissioners then hashed out committee assignments, most of which stayed the same, with newcomer Scott Steward picking up most of former commissioner Joe Tilden’s spots.
