ORDINANCE NO. 2, 2023
AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF N. 75’ OF S. 150’ OF W/2 LOT B; N 50’ OF W/2 LOT B; THE E/2 LOT B EXCEPTING THE S. 75’ AND THE N/2 OF LOT A, ALL WITHIN BLOCK 38, ORIGINAL TOWN OF POWELL, FROM B-G, GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, TO R-M, RESIDENTIAL MIXED USE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, there has been previously annexed into the City of Powell the following real property which was zoned as B-G, General Business, per Chapter 17.36 of the Powell Municipal Code said real property more particularly described as follows:
N. 75’ of S. 150’ of W/2 Lot B; N. 50’ of W/2 Lot B; E/2 Lot B excepting the S. 75’ and the N/2 of Lot A, all within Block 38, Original Town of Powell, Park County Wyoming.
WHEREAS, the property owners have requested that the zoning for this property be rezoned and designated as R-M, Residential Mixed Use District, pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, public hearings were held by the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission on May 22, 2023, at 7:00 o’clock p.m., and by the Governing Body of the City of Powell on June 5, 2023, at 6:00 o’clock p.m., in Council Chambers of City Hall, Powell, Park County, Wyoming, pursuant to notices given as required by law, regarding the proposed change in zoning designation and proposed ordinance changing said zoning district designation for the property.
WHEREAS, the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the subject property be rezoned pursuant to the Property owner’s request, from its current zoning designation of B-G, General Business to a zoning designation of R-M, Residential Mixed Use District, pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordained by the Governing Body of the City of Powell, Park County, Wyoming, as follows:
SECTION 1. The zoning designation for the property described herein is hereby changed from its current designation of B-G, General Business District, to a designation of R-M, Residential Mixed Use District pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon adoption and publication as required by law.
