Dear editor:
This is a reminder, be very careful who you vote for if you vote Republican. I was reading an article at Evidencebasedwyoming.com called “Who are the Big Spenders in the Wyoming House of Representatives?” and it lists some interesting information. Here’s a few highlights: 1) “Nine Republicans outspent all Democrats (Reps. Allred, Newsome, Harshman, our own David Northrup, Sommers, O’Hearn, Henderson, Berger and Westin), 2) “30 Republicans voted to spend more than the lowest-spending Democrat, Rep. Provenza, who voted for $413.6 million in spending”, and 3) “Rep. Bear, leader of the Freedom Caucus, voted to save $717.3 million, while Speaker Sommers, leader of the Wyoming Caucus, voted to spend $704.7 million, a $1.4 billion difference.”
This last point gives you lots of information about the difference between the Freedom Caucus and the Wyoming Caucus. Which do you stand behind? Well, do you believe government should lower your taxes or raise them because that’s really what “cutting spending” and “spending more” is all about? If you want to keep more of your hard-earned money, you support the Freedom Caucus. If you believe government needs to spend more and you are happy to give them your money in higher taxes, then you support the Wyoming Caucus. Also, after looking at the big spenders and their voting patterns, the people in the Wyoming Caucus aren’t really Republican anyway. You can tell a tree by its fruit and the fruit of the Wyoming Caucus stinketh!
The Federalist carried a similar article entitled, “Wyoming Is The Epicenter Of America’s Fake ‘Red State’ Problem.” The article said “Regarding Wyoming, one analysis discovered that “Wyoming lawmakers’ voting patterns found that 31 legislators were ‘very liberal’ — and all but two of them had Rs behind their name,” according to The Daily Wire. “That put 29 Republicans further to the left of three Democrats, who were merely ‘liberal.'”
The information I’m giving you is borne out by the evidence of other sites that keep track of voting patterns, such as WyoRino.com; wyomingrighttolife.com/legislative-awards-; ratings.conservative.org; limitedgov.org; and brand.honorwyoming.org. As well as articles, EvidenceBasedWyoming.com has a grading system too.
By looking at those sites, you’ll also see why there is such a coordinated effort to smear the names of Sen. Tim French (R-Powell) and Rep. Rachel Rodriguez-Williams (R-Cody). Rinos don’t like real conservatives because the difference is glaringly obvious. WyoRino gave Northrup a 10% for following the Republican Platform, whereas French and Rodriguez-Williams both have 100%. Tim and Rachel’s voting patterns proclaim to all of Park County that they are the true conservatives.
Don’t believe someone is a conservative Republican, or even a Republican, just because they say they are. Look at the fruit of their voting record to see the truth. Republicans vote the Republican platform. That’s the team they play for, and they play by that team’s rules. They don’t score for the other team like Rinos do. Be an informed voter. The above listed sites are great places to start.
