Dear editor:
On behalf of the Powell Ministerial Association we offer a heartfelt, “Thank you!” to the many volunteers and donors who helped during this year’s Thanksgiving Community Dinner. We served close to 500 meals this year, about 70 of which were delivered to those unable to make it to the fairgrounds. Donations collected will be used to cover the 2022 expenses and the rest will be given to the Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center.
It was wonderful to see those who were able to join us for the meal enjoying the food and good company. Old friends got to see each other and new friendships were made. We ultimately give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ who gave us the opportunity and ability to meet the needs of others. We pray that God will continue to strengthen and provide for our community in the upcoming year.
