The Park County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday staff are receiving calls regarding the jury duty scam is going around once again. This is where a caller advises someone they work for the sheriff's office and have a warrant for you for missing jury duty.
“We do not call people about warrants, nor do we request any kind of fee/payment over the phone for any reason,” the office said in a release on social media. “We especially don't need it in gift cards, cash apps or coin machine cards. Please do not give out any personal information to these callers and if you have any questions, contact the PCSO dispatch center at 527-8700. But … if you know you really do have a warrant of any type, please give us a call and we will be happy to send a deputy to speak with you in person!”
