PUBLIC NOTICE
The Wyoming Public Service Commission (Commission) approved the Application of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. to pass on a decrease of $0.449 per dekatherm (Dth) for residential and firm general customers and small and large interruptible customers, and a decrease of $0.436 per Dth for seasonal customers, effective on and after May 1, 2024, subject to notice, protest, intervention, refund, change, further investigation, opportunity for hearing and further order of the Commission.
MDU’s proposal results in a decrease of $1.70 for a typical residential customer using 3.80 Dth during the rate effective period of May 2024. Actual bills will vary with usage.
Commission Rule Chapter 3, Section 26, allows a utility to pass on to its customers known or projected commodity cost increases or decreases on a dollar-for-dollar basis, subject to public notice, opportunity for hearing and refund.
