Powell artist Martin Garhart’s “Somewhere, Sometime” series of landscapes drawings will be on display at Gestalt Studios at the Polar Plant starting Friday. An opening reception will run from 4-6 p.m. Through the month of April and continuing through May 8, Garhart will be exhibiting a selection of beautifully rendered landscapes. Each graphite drawing is “mysterious and inviting.”
“They tell a story, one that seems to never end,” according to a news release from Gestalt.
Alongside the drawings, he will be showing prints from the series, “The Language of Flowers.” A limited edition of one of his flower prints will be sold to benefit Powell Valley Loaves and Fishes. He is asking for a minimum donation of $20 for each print, with the full amount to be donated.
Gestalt Studios hand-printed an edition of the invitation to the exhibit, which can be signed by the artist at Friday’s opening.
