More voters in Park County are choosing to cast their ballots early with in-person voting at the Park County courthouse.
Three weeks ahead of the Aug. 16 primary election in Wyoming, 387 voters have already completed the balloting process with in-person votes cast at the courthouse. In the corresponding off- presidential year primary election of 2018, there were 341 in-person early voters.
The 2022 primary is on a pace to eclipse the previous record number of 516 early voters in the 2020 Wyoming primary election in a presidential election year.
Requests for absentee ballots are also running high. By Monday afternoon, July 25, the county elections office had received 1,735 requests for absentee ballots, which represents just under 10% of all registered voters in Park County. Of absentees requested, 530 had been returned.
