Dear Editor:
The Park 6 School Board candidates Q&A meeting, on Oct. 6 at the Wapiti School, was well attended by parents, concerned citizens and other interested community minded taxpayers.
Many questions were asked and were professionally and courteously answered. I was however, extremely disappointed that only two of the five candidates (Bob Berry and William Struemke) showed up to answer questions and/or express their viewpoints.
It seemed apparent that the other three candidates, Brandi Nelson, Karen Schipfmann and Cathy Roes felt it was beneath them to attend a meeting of the North Fork country bumpkins. That was not only disappointing, but very unprofessional.
The people who attended, took the time and effort to do so, only to find that the apparent arrogance of the other three candidates did not think our efforts/interests were important. Our thanks to Bob Berry and William Struemke for taking the time, effort, cost and concern to arrange this important community meeting.
Glen and Maryanne Schultz
