The Park County Elections staff will be conducting the public testing of the election day, early voting and high speed vote tabulators on July 8-9.
In the past staff have completed this all in one day, Park County First Deputy Clerk Hans Odde said in a release. This year, due to construction in the public works/old jail where the election equipment is stored normally, staff will not be allowed to have public in that building.
Staff were required to temporarily move election day equipment to the coroner’s building that is located behind the Law Enforcement Center, 1402 River View Drive. The equipment will be secured there by 24/7 surveillance and a multifactor authentication lock system, Odde said.
On the July 8 staff will meet the public at the coroners building at 8:30 a.m. to test and seal the election day equipment.
On July 9 staff will meet the public at the elections office in the courthouse at 8:30 a.m. to test and seal the early voting and high speed tabulators.
