Commissioners seem to make liberal use of closed-door sessions

Posted

Dear editor:

I would like to thank the Tribune for publishing the guest editorial “A Hiding Habit” June 27, 2024.

I have long thought our Park County commissioners make pretty liberal use of the executive session.

I also have some doubt that making a motion in the public portion of a meeting to “approve the matter discussed in executive session” is meeting the letter of the law, and certainly not the intent of the law.

Sincerely,
