The season of holiday cheer and Christmas Eve services is here. Many local churches will be holding services.

Union Presbyterian and First United Methodist Church of Powell will have a combined Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. in the Union Presbyterian Church, followed by a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Powell. On the morning of New Year’s Eve there will be a service at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Powell. 

Lovell United Methodist Church will have a service the morning of Christmas Eve at 9 a.m. and a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m. On the morning of New Year’s Eve there will be a service at 9 a.m. 

New Life Church will have three candlelight services Christmas Eve at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.  

Christmas Eve services for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be as follows: 11 a.m. for the Powell 1st Ward, 9 a.m. for the Powell 2nd Ward, 9 a.m for the Powell 3rd Ward and 10:30 a.m. for the Powell 4th Ward.

Grace Point will have a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.

Garland Community Church of God will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. 

Trinity Bible Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. 

St. Barbara’s Catholic Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. followed by Midnight Mass. There will be a Christmas Day service at 9 a.m. 

St. Luke’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church at 1922 Bighorn Avenue in Cody will have the Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m. the morning of Christmas Eve followed by Great Compline with Lytia at 8 p.m. On Christmas Day there will be the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great at 10 a.m. followed by caroling at 11 a.m. 

Glad Tidings Church will have a candlelight service on Christmas Eve morning at 10:45 a.m. There will be songs and a short message.
