The Shoshone National Forest is seeking volunteer hosts for its Wapiti and Dead Indian campgrounds.

Campground hosts are responsible for welcoming visitors and providing public information. They also help Forest Service employees clean and maintain the campground. Other duties include litter pickup and recordkeeping.

“We are looking for volunteer campground hosts who are courteous, helpful, and enthusiastic that can convey facility rules in a positive manner,” said District Ranger Casey McQuiston.

Potential candidates must be able to commit from May 10 through Oct. 15, 2023. Selected hosts will receive a $30 per day stipend and campsite with electricity and water, but must provide and transport their own trailer or recreational vehicle.
