WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sens. John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, both R-Wyo., applauded the Senate on Friday for unanimously confirming Judge Kelly Rankin to be U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Wyoming.
“Judge Rankin has dedicated his career to serving the people of Wyoming and upholding the Constitution. He will make an outstanding U.S. District Court Judge for Wyoming,” said Barrasso. “Judge Rankin’s roots and service to our great state run deep. His impressive record and knowledge of the law will make him a great member of the federal bench.”
“As a dedicated public servant, Judge Rankin has honorably served the Cowboy State as U.S. Attorney and Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Wyoming,” said Lummis. “I can think of no one more fitting to serve as a U.S. District Judge for Wyoming, and I am confident he will continue to uphold the Constitution and serve Wyoming well.”
On Jan. 24, Barrasso and Lummis introduced Judge Rankin before his confirmation hearing in thje Senate Judiciary Committee.
The White House announced Judge Rankin’s nomination last year.
