The Big Horn Basin was well represented at the recent Miss Wyoming and Miss Wyoming’s Teen competitions June 8 in Laramie.

Baylee Drewry, of Greybull, emerged as Miss Wyoming 2024, while Carlyn Murray, of Cody, claimed the title of Miss Wyoming’s Teen 2024.

Drewry is currently in school at the University of Wyoming. Reflecting on her recent triumph as Miss Wyoming 2024, Drewry expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent her state and champion her campaign, “Girls and Women in Sports.” She looks forward to collaborating with her dedicated team and teen titleholder to showcase the best of Wyoming during their reign and as she prepares to compete for Miss America in January. The award came with more than $22,000 in cash and in-kind scholarships.

Murray is ready to make a difference.

“I’m excited to share the incredible benefits of this program,” she said. “Thanks to its support, my entire college tuition is covered, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team by my side! Plus, the opportunity to support children through Compete for a Cause is truly fulfilling.”

Alongside $4,500 in cash and in-kind scholarships, Murray accepted a full-ride scholarship valued at $112,000 to the University of Alabama, a scholarship given to every teen state titleholder through the Miss America’s Teen Program.

The two winners and seven other delegates engaged in five categories of competition: Private Interview, Health and Fitness, On-Stage Question, Talent and Evening Gown.
