The Cody Branch of the American Association of University Women will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship on May 1, 2023. Deadline for the application is April 1, 2023. Preference for this scholarship is given to Cody-area women who will be at the junior, senior or graduate level of college in their next semester.
Selection for the scholarship is based on scholastic ability, financial need, indication of commitment to a chosen field, and overall quality of the application.
AAUW’s mission is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.
GOALS of AAUW include:
Champion equal access in education, emphasizing STEM. Ensure education at every level is free from sex discrimination. Shrink the gender pay gaps. Bolster inclusive career pathways for women in skills and training. Expand number of women in leadership, particularly in STEM.
