The Wyoming High School Activities Association made the decision to delay the state spirit competition at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper after inclement weather hit the state on Friday.
The decision came after the judges were unable to make it to the event due to road closures.
After the delay was announced, the WHSAA determined that the new date of the competition would be Wednesday, March 8, the day before 3A/4A state basketball is scheduled to start.
The same schedule is in place for the event, and the Powell High School cheer team is scheduled to take the floor for its game day cheer at 2:58 p.m.
