Posted

The 2024 Northwest College Juried Student Art & Design Exhibit will open in the Northwest Gallery located inside the Cabre Building on Tuesday, April 23 from 7-8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

The artworks on display are created by 2023-24 NWC art and graphic design students working in a variety of 2D and 3D media. Serving as this year’s juror is Beth Korth, art education coordinator at Tippet Rise Art Center in Fishtail, Montana. Korth has conducted painting and printmaking workshops across the country and in Japan, and previously visited Northwest College last October for an Artist’s Talk and exhibition.

A small selection of artworks from the exhibit will be presented with Purchase Awards funded by the Northwest College Board of Trustees. The selected artworks will then become part of the college’s permanent collection.

The exhibition will remain on display in the Northwest Gallery through noon on Saturday, May 11 following NWC’s graduation ceremony. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. Admission is free.

For more information, contact Elaine DeBuhr, NWC associate professor of art, at elaine.debuhr@nwc.edu.
