Artwork by seven ceramic artists from the Red Lodge Clay Center (RLCC) is on display at Northwest College, and the public is invited to a free closing reception scheduled for noon on Thursday, Feb. 22. The exhibition, which is also free and open to the public, is in the Northwest Gallery located inside the Cabre Building. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Located in Red Lodge, the RLCC offers multiple residency programs for artists, students, educators, or anyone looking for the time and space to invest in their studio practice. It serves as a base for ceramic arts education in the region alongside Northwest College’s own ceramics program. Three RLCC staff members, David Hiltner, Jill Oberman, and Pete Scherzer, and four resident artists, Maxwell Henderson, Marlaina Lutz, Tyler Quinton, and Shannon Webb contributed work to the show. The work on display includes free-standing artistic sculptures, hanging artwork, and functional ceramic objects as well.
Most of the work in the exhibit is for sale. Contact Associate Professor of Art Elaine DeBuhr at Elaine.DeBuhr@nwc.edu or 307-754-6128 to purchase artwork or for further information.
