Lou Ann Traugott Carmon passed away on Jan. 12, 2024 at the North Big Hospital in Lovell, Wyoming. She was born on April 13, 1936 in Orlando, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dorothy and Alvin Traugott.
Lou Ann moved to Powell with her family in 1943 and graduated from Powell High School in 1954.
She married David W. Carmon on Feb. 24, 1969.
Lou Ann is survived by her daughter, Laura Davison of Powell, two grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her three brothers; John Traugott of Edmond, Oklahoma, Tim Traugott of Grenada, Mississippi and Mark Traugott of Wylie, Texas, plus several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her sister, Cheryl Bunch of Powell; her parents; a granddaughter, Melvia Beery; and her brother, Marvin Traugott of Winnsboro, Texas.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
