The all-class reunion of the Powell High School Alumni Association is approaching June 28-29, and one of the events of Friday, June 28 is a tour of the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center between Powell and Cody.

The site is being developed by the Heart Mountain Foundation to tell the story of the World War II Japanese relocation camp. A tour of the growing interpretive center is set for alums at 9 a.m. on June 28.

Also scheduled for that day are an open house at Homesteader Museum; the first of two days of a downtown poker run sponsored by Friends of the Library; and individual activities of PHS anniversary classes.

The Saturday, June 29 program of the PHS alumni weekend begins with a 5K Run at 7 a.m. and breakfast hosted by the Powell Rotary Club at 8 a.m. Homesteader Museum will again be open following the Saturday morning breakfast, and the library poker run proceeds for the second day in downtown Powell.

Northwest College hosts a car show on campus from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  “High Noon” is celebrated with an all-alumni gathering in Washington Park.

The annual alumni golf tournament Saturday plays at a new time. Because of a scheduling conflict with another tournament, alumni golf tees off at 1:30 p.m. The event is $100 per player, and lunch is included at a food truck on-site for ticketed players.

Alumni reunion weekend wraps Saturday afternoon and evening, June 29 at the fairgrounds, with a cornhole tournament, food truck, drinks, music and mixing.
