Candidates in contested races in the August primary election will face off Wednesday, June 1 in the first of two forums presented by the Park County Republican Women.
The lead-off forum is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Commons in downtown Powell. Those in contested races for State Senate District 19, State House districts 24, 25 and 26, Park County Commissioner, Park County Coroner, Park County Prosecuting Attorney and Park County Clerk of District Court will be questioned, said Jessalynne Crum of Cody, vice president of the county Republican women’s organization.
Kelly Simone of Cody will be moderator of the forum. Prepared questions have been submitted by members of Park County Republican Women.
Candidates will have an opportunity for a brief introduction and presentation of their goals if elected.
The second forum will be Wednesday, June 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Grizzly Room of the Cody Public Library.
