Local residents looking to avoid the latest scams and frauds are invited to attend a pair of free training sessions in Powell and Cody this week.
Led by personnel with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the seminars will offer updates on current financial scams and criminal trends. The stated goal is “to help empower you and help protect you from becoming a victim.”
One session will run from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cody library’s Grizzly Hall with the other running from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Northwest College’s Yellowstone Building.
The trainings are being presented by the FBI, the Powell and Cody police departments, the Park County Sheriff’s Office, the Wyoming Department of Family Services, the Northwest College Center for Training and Development, the Cody Cupboard food pantry and the Park County Library.
